Our previous coated matte was likened to "Dolphin skin." For those who don't have ready access to a dolphin, it can be described as a silky smooth, almost rubbery texture. It provided protection from spills, stains, and kid fingers, aka Cheeto finger. Our new material continues to be smooth but is less rubbery. It has better scratch resistance, provides a bit more clarity, and continues to protect from life's little messes.

When will our new coated matte finish go into production?

Our new coated matte will go into production starting October 1st, 2022.

Although the differences between our previous and new coated matte seem slight, it is enough to be noticeable. We recommend that you order a paper sample kit so that you can see and feel the new material for yourself and make any necessary adjustments to your workflow.

We have worked hard on getting the right formula, so this additional layer does not alter your image's colors.
